Solution viscoelastic ophthalmologic HealMed are pharmacologically inactive, transparent liquids with high viscosity and elasticity, simultaneously possessing the properties of gels and solids, a medical device for injection, used in ophthalmic surgery. HealMed is injectable preparations based on sodium hyaluronate, designed to perform the protective function of delicate eyeball tissues during the surgical intervention (prevent tissue damage). The use of viscoelastic protects the endothelium of the cornea, maintains the volume, depth of the anterior chamber of the eye. Viscoelastics contribute to reducing the acoustic load on the cornea by absorbing ultrasonic vibrations. In addition, the use of viscoelastics increases visualization during surgery.
